Compact Flash cards do not do well when put through the laundry. How do I know this, you ask? Well, through personal experience of course! My Kingston 96MB and Crucial 128MB both rode the laundry in the pocket of my jeans. The Kingston is dead, the Crucial is just *really* slow (no, I didn't put the Crucial in my camera! I may be stupid, but I'm not crazy...) when mounted as a drive in windows.

I emailed Crucial to ask about the slowing-down. I was kind of suprised by that; I'd have thought it would just have died. Wonder what they'll say, aside from the obvious "Boy, are you ever STOOOOOOO-PID!"
