GW has revised RTT scoring. Check out the new RTT Players Handbook and Roster Sheets. It's easier to see the new comp rules on the Roster Sheets.
The new comp system is: 1. Does the army have more Troop selections than any other single category? 2. Do the units an characters have names, designations, etc? 3. Do Troop selection make up 40% of the total points of this army? 4. Have they spent no more than 25% of their total points on Fast Attack, Heavy Support or Elites? 5. Has the player spent no more than 20% of their total points on anything from the "Armory" page? Judges have 3 more questions 1. Is the army list correct? 2. Is the list the same one being played? 3. Is this one of the top three armies? All in all, no big deal or me since I usually play a pretty balanced army.

This story talks, indirectly, about something that's been predicted for the past several years... that is, the decline of PC games compared to console games. The key bit of data is the note that while console games sales continue to skyrocket, PC games have dipped 8.5% this year. There will come a point where game manufacturers will do to the PC what they did to the Macintosh -- dump it in favor of the more profitable platform.

Usually, the surprise is finding out that spammers have found a new and interesting way to get me to open their junk mail, but every once in a while something more comes along. Amazon.com: About Henry Raddick: Public Reviews is some guys (presumably Henry Raddick, but it could be his dog...) Amazon review page. I think it is pretty clever to use the review service of Amazon to host ones humorous web page.

Here's a shot (Thanks, Charles!) of Stephen's new Dwarven Forge stuff, with Galamir, Darley and Othello getting a nasty surprise! BTW, Zina and I will be adding the MM017- Advanced Builder Set: $79.00 from here. It adds just about everything we need and will be out in mid-July.
My Converted Wartrukk
Here's a shot of a Wartrukk I'm working on. I got a bunch of Landspeeder sprues from Seans last Bitzday, and wanted to do something different with them. I also am working on a similarly themed Warbuggy that you can see in the background. I'm gonna paint up the Warbuggy in looted Imperial Fist colors, and the Trukk in looted Blood Angels colors.
New Paint Pots On the Way?
It seems that the rumors of GW switching paint pots are back. In this latest installment, a rumor-monger states that the new pots will have the same bottle style, but the lid will change to one that screws on (still) but has a flip top for paint access.
Fortuntely, Stephen is making noises hinting he's going to order some Vallejos over the 'net. I'll just mooch paint from him.
